On November 2, 2023, John Foster (Wolf & Associates) provided a summary of the impacts of SOE he’s seen on certified operations and businesses new to certification. He shared some challenges operations are having adjusting to the new rule, as well as some success stories, including encouraging distributors to opt in to certification, creating opportunities for overdue scrutiny and review of supply chains, revealing inconsistencies among accredited certifiers, and identifying additional resources needed.
