Section P, Supply Chain Traceability and Organic Fraud Prevention

On September 28, 2023, independent inspector Rachel Myers facilitated a discussion focused on traceability audits, from an inspectors perspective. In particular, the group discussed what is needed for verification, how certifiers should choose where to focus traceability audits, and what full traceback audits should look like. This is an area where there remains great opportunity for ACA members to collaborate on a uniform approach to fraud prevention and supply chain traceability.
